Anti-Bullying Information

Annual District and School Grades Under the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act
All schools are required by the state to annually complete a Self-Assessment in order to assist the state in determining school and district compliance in implementing the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights (ABR) Act. Click here to review a presentation that was provided to the board outlining the process and summary results for 2020-2021.  In May of 2022, the state released an official report containing this data, which was used to assign school and district grades.  The school grade is a raw score of data and the sum of the ratings for all indicators within each core element on the Self-Assessment.  The maximum total score for a school is 78 points. Responsive Classroom

At the elementary level, all schools integrate the Responsive Classroom Approach (RCA).  A core belief of the approach is that in order to be successful in and out of school, students need to learn a set of social and emotional competencies, as well as designated academic competencies.  These include CARES and Traits of Growth Connections, which are part of our comprehensive health and PE program, and also coincides with our anti-bullying initiative.  Click here for more information on Responsive Classroom.
