    The Office of Curriculum and Instruction guides the development, implementation and evaluation of all instructional program offerings in Evesham Township School District. This includes a variety of tasks such as curriculum writing and revisions, professional development offerings, development of budget, delegation and oversight of funds related to staff development and curriculum, and the writing of grants and required state reports to document progress and to obtain special funding.  In addition, the curriculum department shares in the responsibility of teacher evaluations, hiring of new staff, and oversight of various student assessments.  Representatives of this department attend meetings with the NJ Department of Education, Lenape Regional Curriculum Consortium, and Burlington County Curriculum Consortium in order to stay abreast of changes occurring within the state and network with other local districts.

    Supervisors of Instruction are responsible for interpreting and applying current research in curriculum, teaching and learning for both general and special education students, evaluating student performance on district and state assessments, writing and/or revising curriculum, selecting instructional materials, providing professional development, and recommending the adoption of new programs.  They oversee the operation of all departments within the district.  All curricula are developed in-house by curriculum supervisors in conjunction with teacher and building-level administrators.  Specific job responsibilities are designated below:

     

     

    Mindy Kaufer, Preschool - 4 Curriculum Supervisor

    Supervision of all general and special education teachers and professional staff in the areas of language arts literacy and social studies, grades preschool-4; coordination of Title I, and basic skills in the area of language arts, grades 1-4; supervisor of Reading Recovery and elementary Reading Specialists; supervision and coordination of teachers in the area of world language, grades K-8; District Reading Recovery Site Coordinator.

     

    Kelly Camm, Preschool - 4 Curriculum Supervisor

    Supervision of all general and special education teachers and professional staff in the areas of STEM (science and health, technology/computers, engineering, and mathematics), grades preschool-4; coordination of basic skills math, grades 1-4; supervision and coordination of teachers in the areas of physical education, art and nurses, grades K-8.

     

    Robin Collins, 5 - 8 Curriculum Supervisor

    Supervision of all general and special education teachers and professional staff in the areas of language arts literacy and social studies, grades 5-8; coordination of basic skills in the area of language arts, grades 5-8; supervision of middle school Reading Specialists; supervision and coordination of teachers in the areas of:  library/media, music, ELL and school counselors, grades K-8; District Testing Coordinator.

     

    Jenn Bland, 5 - 8 Curriculum & Special Education Supervisor

    Supervision of all general and special education teachers and professional staff in the areas of STEM (science and health, technology/computers, engineering, and mathematics), grades 5-8; coordination of basic skills math, grades 5-8; supervision and coordination of teachers in the areas of applied design & technology and family/consumer sciences, grades 6-8. Coordination of IEP program implementation, special education assistive technology and related services, grades K-8; District Special Education Alternate Assessment and SEMI Coordinator.
