Preschool Expansion Opportunity
Preschool Education Aid (PEA)
The ETSD applied for PEA in mid-August and was awarded the funding in early October. The application required a plan to provide free, full-day preschool to eligible three- and four-year olds for resident children within the next five years. The year one approved plan allows all current preschool integrated students, along with a partnership with two private provider classrooms to transition to full-day preschool that follows the district calendar and Rice school hours effective January 2, 2025.
