It is with great pleasure that I welcome 2013 and celebrate the third anniversary of becoming Principal of this wonderful, wonderful school.  These three years have been a challenge in so many ways, but one thing rings true over and over . . . and that is, there is not a problem we can’t solve together.  And together we move forward keeping the children at the center of all we do. 

As a teacher, January and February were some of my favorite months to be in the classroom.  It was cozy, warm, and there was lots of uninterrupted time to work on in-depth lessons and projects.  It’s that sweet spot in the year when everyone knows what to expect, connections have been forged, and routines are in place.  What better way to pass the winter days than to read, write, reflect and learn? 

And of course, before you know it I’ll be sending out my annual call to arms asking for your support with the dress code!  So before the temps heat up and the beach starts to call your name . . . let’s enjoy the season and dig deep into the rich possibilities of all we have to learn – together. 

Wishing you all a happy, healthy 2013.  Thank you for three years of phenomenal support, encouragement and collaboration.   I look forward to working with you and your children for many, many more years to come. It is truly an honor to serve this community.
